Preface

From the time, I got involved in Indian Contemporary Art, I collected Gogi Saroj Pal's paintings. I purchased one of her 'Home Coming' series painting from Kumar Art Gallery in Delhi in 1990. In 1991, I purchased her paintings from 'Dancing Horse' & 'Windows' series from Cymroza Art Gallery in Mumbai. I met her in the 'Helpage' auction of paintings in Mumbai, in 1991. From there, I went to Delhi & bought her painting from her 'Haily Comet' series, which is now in the collection of Fukuoka Museum, Japan. During the same year, I bought her paintings from 'Naika', 'Kamdhenu' & 'Eternal Bird' series. In 1992, I bought her painting from 'Dream Boat' series.
In 1993, I invited, Ved Nayar & Gogi Saroj Pal to Hemiji to help me to conceive & design a book on my collection of Contemprary Indian Art.
During her stay in Hemiji for more than one month, Gogi Saroj Pal, also painted including portraits of my daughter, Nasco. I acquired, all these works.
I have more than 50 works of Gogi Saroj Pal in my collection, which I always cherish & admire.
